My year in lists-Konzerte des Jahres 2010 (Rockerparis)

So Leute, der berühmt-berüchtigte Rockerparis hat nun auch geliefert. Musikalisch koalieren wir nicht gerade, da er eher auf Classic Rock/Heay Metal steht, ich hingegen auf Folk und Indierock. Dennoch gibt es zwei Konzerte in seiner Liste, um die ich ihn beneide: Crosby Stills & Nash im Olympia und Suzanne Vega im Théatre Marigny hätte ich auch gerne gesehen.

Toll ist, daß der Rockerparis regelmäßig auf unseren Oliver Peel Sessions zu Gast ist, obwohl ich immer Angst habe, daß er sich bei der ruhigen und reduzierten Folkmusik zu Tode langweilt und einschläft (wie das Mädel auf dem Bild). Ich meine der Kerl steht sonst auf Guns N Roses, Motörhead und AC/DC!

GUNS N ROSES @ L'Arc Club:

Seeing Guns in such an intimate place (200-300 people ) was a dream come true, great semi-acoustic show with a VERY relax Axl.
Gig of the year for me.

PRINCE @ New Morning:

Unbelievable to see Prince in this Parisian club with a show ending at 6:00 in the morning.

Eric Clapton/ Steve Winwood @ Bercy:

Lots of great songs ( from Blind Faith) lots of fantastic guitars from both of them.

Europe @ Cigale:

First time i was seeing these swedish soft-rockers, believe me on a stage they are everything but soft, lots of heavy guitars by John Norum.

Hellfest with KISS, Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Slash @ Clisson:

Great gigs by Twisted & Kiss, nice weather, very cool atmosphere for a heavy week-end.

Steve Miller band @ Zénith:

The Joker is in town, lots of great songs and beautiful stage with hundreds of guitars in circle representing a huge wave.
Air @ Cité de la Musique:

" Virgin Suicides" is one of my favorite record so seeing them performing it in its entirety was one of the highlights of 2010.

Suzanne Vega @ Théatre Marigny:

With just her and a guitar player she played a Best of set. Don't need pyrotechnics with great songs.

Crosby Stills & Nash @ Olympia:

They all could be my Grand-Father but they can still rock.

+ Band of Horses for a few shows in Paris, Peter Doherty @ different clubs in Paris, AC/DC @ Stade de France, Deep Purple @ Zénith.

PS: Special Tribute to Ronnie James Dio
